About Us And Our Passion For Happy Healthy Pups
Along the way we started to notice that our dogs really appreciated when we continually mixed things up and diversified the time we spent together. They were always more excited and more satisfied when we made any activity feel like an adventure. New parts of the neighborhood they had never sniffed. New grass that they had never touched. Dog friendly areas that they had never explored. Parks, trails, beaches, and various areas in and around San Diego County, CA.
And in those same realizations about how we treated our pack we also understood, from our personal experience, that it is not always easy nor convenient to carve out time from our busy lives to be completely available for our pets. It can be a really challenging endeavor.
Pups Love Fun takes these learnings to heart to provide our clients and their pets with our Best Day values in safe environments with attention to detail. Always positive. Always patient. Always loving. We treat every client and every pet with respect. Our goal is happy tails and healthy dogs.
We began building our pack of pups almost 15 years ago and fell in love with not only our dogs and the relationship we shared with them, but all dogs, and how each dog is deserving of a loving home. After adopting every foster we invited into our house we became really good at walking our pack of six around the neighborhood. Quite the sight for sure.
Which is essentially the origin story of Pups Love Fun... everyone asking if I was a professional dog walker!
Yes, the complexities of coordinating leashes, harnesses and dog waste bags for six dogs took a lot of effort. However, the rhythm and joy of the twice daily 1.5 mile dog walk evolved into something my wife and I cherished getting to do together when not traveling for work. Over the years we continued to upgrade our approach, preparedness and skill set for all the things that can happen on a walk. Squirrels, cats, cars, children, skateboards... and other dogs! All these events have an energetic trajectory that you need to be ready for and every dog's personality is a mixture of learned behavior and their own unique traits. We embraced it all. Not only did our dogs look forward to every journey, they expected it. On schedule. Every day. No exceptions.
